Pope Jude’s Fourstardave (G2) Analysis

(6:25 ET) SAR 10th Race – This year’s Fourstardave (G2) has attracted a stellar field of eight. #2 GRAND ARCH has had very wide trips in his last two starts, negating any chance he had of winning them. This is a very tough group, but the Brian Lynch trainee can rebound to the winners’ circle with a better trip from his inside draw. #3 IRONICUS has a ton of ability but is beset with pesky physical issues. Hall of Fame trainer Shug McGaughey only starts the son of Distorted Humor when he is 100% and there is plenty of speed entered here to set up his closing charge. #5 SEEK AGAIN won this race last year. He’s had an abbreviated racing schedule in 2015, as trainer Bill Mott gears him up for the Breeders’ Cup Mile (G1). Look for the son of Speightstown to move forward once again. #1 MSHAWISH is one of the best-looking horses in training. The son of Medaglia d’Oro ran well in Dubai and makes his first start since World Cup day this afternoon. Trainer Todd Pletcher will need to have him at his very best to beat this extremely tough field.
